WOLVERHAMPTON EXPRESS & STAR FAMILY ANNOUNCEMENTS INDEX is an index of all the birth, marriages and deaths etc. in the Wolverhampton based Express and Star newspaper extracted since the first entry found published in September 1884 through to 1922 (and progressing), which, as it includes 1914 to 1918, (the first world war years) now lists many of those who gave their lives in that conflict. Note: For the sake of brevity the index contains only subject names, type of event and date of entry in the newspaper. However photo-copies of the relevant announcements inserted in the newspaper , which may well contain information of use to family historians, are available as required.
