The Mission was started from St. Anne's, Easter Sunday, 1901. For two years and a half the chapel was in a workshop in Green Lane. The school, a well equipped two-storey building, was opened in September 1903, after 'some local opposition.' The chapel was used for the first time Sunday, September 27 of the same year, but the day school not until January 11, 1904.
